i have a 68 911 with a 75 2.7s engine that i have just rebuilt (after a couple of studs pulled) and for some reason it wont start from cold without some easystart. once its fired up it needs about five or six squirts of easystart to keep it going, then it clears and runs fine. it will start every time after the initial start up but if its left to cool down the easystart is needed again. a friend has suggested the cold start injector at the back of the intake may not be working. i took the plug off of the injector and tried to check for any power but couldn't get any. is this the problem? should i get power at the injector all the time or is it only powered when the starter motor is turning? some one also mentioned a bi-metallic strip that controls the cold start injector. can anyone help????
