Shocks ?

Shocks ?
New to 911s. Have found that new/old 78SC makes a lot of THUMP THUMP when on pot holes and concrete with separation strips. Should I look at shocks or what? How does one check shocks without taking off. The noise comes from both front and rear. Tires are stock optionals for the SC.
