Post Do any racing seats fit stock holes?

I want to upgrade to better racing seats for my 84 911 Carrera but don't want to drill new holes for the rails/brackets. I also don't want to spend over $500. Does anyone make a racing seat that is still comfortable for daily driving but also holds you in better during occassional club driving events that fits perfectly into the stock holes from factory?

Recaro's are supposed to be a direct bolt - in using the factory sliders. Sparco's also work but a pair of bars with relocated holes are required for each seat - match new seat w/ old sliders. No biggie, cut and drill some aluminum 3/4" stock or buy 'em, most places have them with the seats for a few dollars more.

Sparco Torino's pictured here, seems to sit a tad higher than before:

$500 - for 1 Recaro, it's possible, for 2 seats, don't think so unless you find used..Sparco's pictured are $1200 / pr.

good luck..

Corbeau's you have to use the crappy mounts they provide & their sliders. Plus they raise your butt hiegth a good 1" or more.

I installed SRD's in my 81SC using stock steel Porsche seat brackets. No drilling required, everything bolted together. I used two of the adjustable stock brackets on the drivers seat, as it's safer to have two locking cams than one, particularly for track usage. New seats like SRD's run over $500 each. If you order new, you also have the option on what color cloth and logo stitching you want, as well as if you want a crotch hole for a harness. Here's the SC install:

Be sure you sit in any seats before you commit to them. Seats, like helmets, all fit a little differently.
