Red face Could have been burned. Anyone else bought from this guy?

I have bought 3 930 factory brochures, and sent a money order to Gene Mottola, from Platinum Porsche of New York. the Ad was in the classifieds here. Ever since the money left (January 3rd), I had no news, and now the adress I used to communicate with him is no longer valid.
anyone bought from him?
If you're resding this Gene, PLEASE contact me.
It's not a fortune, it's the idea that leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

The guy has some stuff for sale on the Pelican site right now - lists his email as Mottola1@Juno.com.
Good luck with it!

Hello George!
I also bought from Gene, and thought I had been ripped-off. I sent money in early Dec for a C2 shop manual. It arrived about five days ago. I don't know why the long ship time, but he struck me as sincere from the get-go. I hope your problem will be solved by being patient.

Hi Stiff,
That is my most sincere hope! He seemed very nice, but you have to be worried when the adress he used has vanished and you didn't receive anything. Plus there's a rash of bad experiences being related on the BBSs, so it creates the mood.
I will DEFINITELY let people know if he is a good guy, which I hope.

The seller has contacted me from another mail adress, and seems to be wiling to clear things. So it is good news!
I'll let everybody know when it all turns for the best.

Check out THIS thread from the 964 board. If anyone has actually received a technical workshop manual for the 964 series could you post what size paper they were printed on?
