Post early 911 replacement cylinders

While I have a lot of experience with the 4cyl Porsche and VW engines, I have only been working with the 6cyl variety for a little while now.

I am working with a variety of parts from '69-'71 911 engines that used the biral cylinders. Unfortunately none of my cases have the squirters, so I am interested in finding a replacement biral piston and cylinder set. I understand the nikasil cylinders have very tight piston to cylinder clearance which requires the squirters to control piston temps and expansion.

I have gotten in touch with a couple of vendors that say they can get them, but I am having trouble getting the details. Can anyone out there suggest a source and comment on the quality? Also, do you know if these are still being manufactured (if so by whom?) or are new old stock P+C the only ones on the market?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Kelly
