Default Where is the Idle Adjustment ??????

Anyone know where I can adjust my throttle idle speed on my 1982 Porsche 911sc? Just needs to be bumped up a bit.

Thank You,

Ron

There is a large slotted screw on the left (drivers) side of the throttle boday, somewaht toward the firewall side of the engine, just under the air cleaner. sorry, hard to describe. It has a spring over it. It is an air bleed valve and tou (CCW) is faster, in (CW) is slower. Once you find it,You'll always know where it is.

You do not have to remove anything to perform the adjustment! See my reply on your other post...

Something else came to mind: before you mess with the idle screw, make certain your timing is correct. That seems to have more impoact on idle speed than the air bleed screw has sometimes.

Thanks Guys,

I just reached in on the left and backed off the idle a bit and all is good. Tuning her up next week.

Ron: If that's your car it can definitely benefit from being lowered!

Peter,

Yes, that is my car. I asked about lowering on earlier thread first thing last thursday. Any ideas?

Only had the car a few days. I'm putting my other set of wheels on it first. Have too much work at one time to get it together and need to sell the 928 before my Ex takes me back to court. Tried hiding the 911 !! Too late, I'm busted!

Thanks,

Ron
