Starting problems from 3 year sitting
I have a 1968 911 Targa in the body shop and it's been sitting for 3 years. The engine is the stock 2.0L and has Weber carburetors. It ran fine before it was parked. I bet it's an easy fix. The worker said the carburetors are "loading up". Any help is appreciated, thanks.

Gasoline that has not had a "stabizer" added will be similar to varnish in three years! You need to drain the fuel tank and add fresh gasoline. You may be able to put some carb. cleaner through the Webers and flush them out.. once it starts it may flush itself. Worst case, the carbs need to come off to be rebuilt.

Mo is definately correct.. the whole fuel system should be checked and cleaned including rebuilding the Webers.. those poor precious Webers may also have worn throttle shafts if it's never been rebuilt before.. and don't know about your gas tank.. but mine has a gas tank inner soft screen......Ron
