Default blower help 911

Hey,
no not THAT type of blower, I'm talking heater blower. the '87 is fast
enough without a supercharger sticking out of the rear deck.

anyone know much about trouble shooting heater blower problems?

I have a '87 911 and the kick panel blower was making a racket on the right.
it and the left blower motor quit abruptly. now the rear engine compartment
blower seems to be inoperative.

The 10A fuse on the right blower is not blown, but the right blower bearing is gone and motor inop..
The left blower tests good and bearing is intact.

the fuse in the engine compartment is new and tests good.

This seems to imply the relay in the engine compartment is bad.

If I remember correctly, if one of the heater motors go, they all quit until the blown one is replaced/repaired.

Good luck!

I know that if you take the rear blower out the front two quit also. All three are connected.
If it helps I have one without a fuse in front but the other one in front works, if I connect the rear blower. But without rear connected fronts don't work. There's lots of threads on this here and pelican

edit, climate control affects these blowers also, if you got it
