Default rubber trim question

what does everyone use for the black rubber components (bumper mouldings, etc.), even tires - is there something better than Armor All ?

Anyone know of a good source for front spoiler?

Meguiars plastic and vinyl conditioner and then Meguiars Natural shine. Does not leave the greasy build up that AA does and is not too look-at-my-old-shiny-plastic too shiny either. Front spoilers: performance products, pelican, Tweeks, dealer.

Back to Black has worked well for me. Can get at Autozone, PepBoys and other auto suppliers.

FOREVER BLACK is the best one i've found for rubber. ARMOR ALL sucks.

Armour All is bad because the silicone in it dries out the rubber. I've had good luck with Vinlynex - restores the color and not shiny. Keeps wax from making white smudges. Also use GummiPhlege on seals and soft rubber - might work on the bumpers as well. It comes in a small tube with a sponge top - I get it from bavarian autosport (a BMW part supplier). Keeps the targa top and door seals from drying out.

I agree too Armour All does suck. I use Autoglym Vinyl and rubber treatment, it doesn't leave any white residue as some products do.

The perpetual winner of our local PCA region's Concours event uses black shoe polish. Haven't tried it myself yet.

I like Griot's Garage products. He has a rubber cleaner that can be followed up by his vinyl and rubber dressing which doesn't have the slimy shiny effect that Armor All does.

I think the only thing Armor All is good for is the dash of early '80's Camaros like you see in their TV commercial. :-)
