Post 83SC cruise removal?

This is my first post here so hope it works. I've recently gotten a 77k miles 83 SC coupe - definitely a project car. So far - along with a lot of cleanup - I've removed the a/c. Next, I want to get rid of as much as possible of the cruise control (tempostat). I'm making the assumption that after the servo unit goes that I must plug the vacuum line??? Right? Wrong? Help?
Thanks
john

Welcome. You'll get a lot of good advice here. Sorry I can't help you, but I'd like to do the same. I, too, have been doing a project, an '81 SC Targa. Lighter is faster.

I removed my CC unit from my engine compartment last year after my top end job and I did not plug any lines. Just FYI.

Well...thanks. One vote for & one against. Guess I'll try it and find out!. I'll let you know. I'll be at Hershey, guess I'd better carry a clipboard 8-)
Is every old SC that turns up in a farm yard as in need of attention as mine? So far: new carpet, headliner (I'm not installing that bugger!), pop-off valve, headlights, tail lights, boot carpet and seal, sunroof seals, door seals, floor boards, the rear seat bottoms are trash, and I'm fixing the rust in the left HL bucket. whew!
