Post Has anyone installed Magnacore wires????

I bought a set of magnacore plug wires. I am trying to install them. I can see that the boots that go on the spark plugs seem glued and sealed. However, does the boot on the end of the wire that goes to the distributor cap slide up so the wire can be pushed into the cap or is that in a fixed position. I cant seem to get mine to move.Should I lube them and use more force or are they glued into a fixed position. thanks for any help.

I just installed some Magnecores a few weeks ago and don't recall haveing to slide the boots. Try a small amount of dielectic grease inside the boot.

Walt is right on with his recommendation. Because the Magnacore connectors are a slightly different size than OEM, you need dielectric grease on the inside rim of the wire boot. They also require a little additional force to push down into place on the distributor cap.
