I am about to try P21S concours look wax on my 911, has anyone out there used this one before and liked the results? Or any other favorites...have used meguires #26 and 3M show car which were okay.

I use the P21S stuff. I like it, but I don't have much to compare it to. I started using it on the advice of Larry Reynolds, Carcareonline.com guru, and I trust him.

P21S is an excellent wax and you will like the results. I use P21S or Blitz Carnuba Paste Wax. I have both in my garage; I just Blitz waxed my Guards Red '84 911 the other night.

Jared is right about Larry Reynolds; Larry's recommendations are usually right on the mark.

I like to use 3m Hand Glaze followed by One Grand Blitz carnuba wax. Good pointers to Larry Reynolds, too.

I use Zymol Titanium. It's very easy to apply, not hard to remove from my silver-blue SC, but hard to remove from my black 993. It looks wonderful, smells great, and seems to be very durable (my cars don't see much bad weather, though). Water doesn't just bead up -- it literally falls off the car, which makes drying it easier.

I too have used what Larry Reynolds has recommended for my black 81 SC - the 3M glaze, followed by PS21 polish, followed by Blitz Wax. Really does a great job. I had some streaking with the wax, and after speaking with Larry, learned that it was the result of fabric freshner strips in the clothes dryer at the time I dried my 'polishing rags'. I was at Watkins Glen a couple of weeks ago, and the paint on my instructor's black 944 was INCREDIBLE! He uses something called 'Molms' (sp?), and it was outstanding. Anyone familiar with it?

Gotta agree with Bill, John and Gus. 3M Hand Glaze followed up with Blitz wax. This combination works really well on Guards Red and dark colors.

The P21S wax is exceptional to work with too.

Larry at Car Care Online sure knows his stuff. I'm another satisfied customer.

"Malms" advertises in PANORAMA. Don't know anyone that uses it. I would like to try it on my car though. What else does your friend use prior to Malms application?

I've used Malm's, they make a fine polish too. IMHO, their products have become a little pricey.

Zymol is good, but over priced too. P21S is just as good, but doesn't smell like coconuts (Zymol smells like coconut).

Mother's smells like bubble gum. I use Mother's car wash (it has some wax in it), I also use their quick shine spray between waxing.

Zaino Bros. has a great line of products. These are not traditional waxes. Fantastic shine. But, you must first remove your conventional wax, clay the car, and then apply their various steps. zainobros.com

Am i cheap? I use Nu-finish , leaves a great shine and you don't have to wax your car 10 times a year.

Seeing this is a forum for us to share experiences...I am going to go a bit against the grain. Let me explain. I've used all the "boutique" stuff, and there is no denying how good Larry Reynolds is with his recommendations. But, over the years, I've come to find surface prep is the most important thing ( 3M Imperial hand glaze is v. good if never done before), followed by "any" qaulity Carnuba wax. Lately , however, I've come across a product that has properties of Hand glaze and gives an incredible and easy to use shine. No water. Even works over a mild layer of road film or dirt ( verified on my non-Porsche daily driver....no guts yet to do it this way on the Porsche but results are the same)... works even better on the clean Porsche. "Dri-Wash". It's available in the professional trade and through distributors, and ( now) I can say I've found nothing better. I'm so taken by this that I might soon try for distributor status myself pretty soon. Negatives? If your car had a wax build-up prior, you may see streaks on the first application. Either use a pre-wax step, or Dri-wash a second time. By the time you do it a third time, your car will sparkle. Other? If you spray too close to rubber and let it dry, it leaves a white residue. Wipe with a "wet" cloth saturated in Dri-wash and immediately wipe off with a dry cloth, and that'll be fixed. Last negative? doesn't last very long..a few weeks, but its very easy to re-apply, like wiping dust from your car because you don't need water. Simply amazing stuff. I'm still researching this product and it looks like hi-level auto concours guys ( Vintage Bentleys and such) use this, as well as more modern show cars. I'm beginning to see it used on by the vintage racing crowd too, on some pretty expensive cars. Try it...

Mothers Gold works great on my Black 84 Carrera, the car looks like it was carved from a single block of black onyx, even months later. Black cars aint' easy to keep clean.

If you have a nasty stain, debris or oxydation, try Mothers Gold Clay. This is like silly-putty, it will remove those hard spots/specks from acid rain, sap, bugs and whatever hits/sticks to the car at speed. I cleaned my White 83 944 nearly as-new with this stuff (prior to selling it), took about an hour or so. It even cleaned the dirt/crap off of the matching White-Paint cookie-cutters. Looked so good I almost didn't sell it.

I used to use the 3-M hand glaze and Meguires. It really shined. Recently I switched to Zaino on both my black 911 and my wife's silver Benz. All I ca nsay is the shin is great. Even my wife, who never commented on the wax, says the Zaino is incredible. FWIF, I heard Zaino should no be used on loder paint.
