Drive it back home. I just picked up and '86 Cabriolet that my GF and I drove from WI to CA this weekend. It was a sweet trip and a great time getting to know my new baby.

Find an unemployed friend looking to get a bit of a vacation in. Give him some $$ for airfare, hotel, fuel and feed. Also a bit more to make it worth the while. He gets a vacation and you save money over a transport company. I had some quotes for east coast trip that were pretty staggering. I have a friend departing tomorrow to pick up a '69E for me.

Intercity is premium & expensive. Expect double the price of the open carriers. I have seen positive posts about DAS & Exotic.

In my case, none of the above will ship crossborder except Intercity & they quoted me $3K for Pompano Beach to Toronto. I got a reputable Canadian (snowbird) carrier for under $1K - door to door. I shall see . . .
