Post Pro-cooler?

I have an '88 911 in Texas and it is not even August yet.

I saw the "Pro-Cooler" in the Tweeks catalog and it said that it lowered vent temps 10 degrees, which sounds great.

Does anyone have any experience with this product (good or bad). It seems too good to be true.

Thanks

Look for the post entitled "cool collar" from a couple days ago. It has an extensive number of replies which deal with oil cooling.

Oops...You are interested in air cooling, not oil cooling. Sorry. I think the Pro-Cooler requires converting over to R134 coolant, but not positive.

All the feedback I've seen from anyone who's installed one has been negative. It comes up as a topic every summer.

Have you added the upgrade that replaces the hole in the a/c upright under the dash with a center vent? It won't make the delivery air any cooler but dramatically increases the amount of air you get out of the system. That and a good evac/recharge usually gets me through all but the worst (any thing over 110)Phx temps. I asked a local shop about the "pro cooler", they had mixed results on the few they had installed. It was hard to say if the positive results were from the recharge not the cooler.
