Default rear indicator lens & seal replacement

Hi All

Have just taken delivery of replacement rear indicator lenses and seals for my '87 coupe.

To replace the seals, do I need to pull out the entire light assembly?
Have had a go at taking the assemblies out by undoing the 2 large screws but the assemblies won't budge.....am I missing something here!!?

Cheers in advance!

James--
No, you don't have to remove the entire light assembly to replace the seals. You will want to glue the seals to the light assembly to keep moisture out. Don't glue the seals to the new lenses.

That said, you might want to remove the entire light assembly for cleaning purposes. You'll be amazed at the amount of dirt, pebbles, rocks, etc that have accumulated in and around the light assemblies.

In addition to the 2 large screws, you need to remove the drain that is in the middle of assembly - it pulls straight up and out. Once that is removed, you should be able to remove the light assemblies.

Cheers Steve, will check for the drain pipe that might be keeping the assembly in place.

To me, it would seem easier to remove the entire assembly to rip off the old seal and glue the new one in......?
