Question Need advice: '85 911: Surging...

Lately I have been experiencing a surge or pull when driving. It doesn't seem to be related to any particular speed or rpm, but I do feel like I'm rocking back and forth in the car (and it's not my foot on the gas). I'm hoping it isn't anything more than a relay switch that may need replacing, but I'm wondering if anyone else has ever noticed this and what, if anything, they did to correct it.

Also, could someone tell me what the valve cover torque spec should be? I have a small, barely noticeable, leak but don't know what the spec is in order to check that first before digging deeper.

Thanks in advance!!!

I had that happen and it just needed a tuneup to solve. new plugs, cap & rotor was a very slight lag and surge that would happen at various speeds....

valve cover torque is: 8Nm (6ft-lbs) pretty small, make sure you have a decent torque wrench
