Default 1973.5 911 T motor rebuild

A friend of mine here in Colorado is restoring a 73.5 CIS 911 T Targa from the ground up. The one thing he doesn't want to tackle himself is a motor rebuild. I'm asking for recommendations on motor builders in the south western US. Assume it needs machine work and new parts as needed. Also CIS experts????
Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you

Where in Colorado? For an air-cooled engine rebuild in Denver I'd go to Eurosport in Englewood or Carquip in Boulder. Eisenbuds has been sold and I don't know their current situation.

We're in Durango. Thanks for responding. Is Alan Johnson in Grand Junction still around?
