That's probably ok especially if he's proved that it works, my only concern is if you allow the hot air to flow back into the engine bay and it builds up a tremendous temperature.

Just had to chime in.
Bones thats the most georgous engine compartment I've ever seen. I'll have to print out a copy and stick it to my refrigerator to "motivate" me to get mine cleaned up!
