Default Tire air pump 87 911

Can I get Photo/part number of the tire air pump that you know came with car. Any suggestions for a correct air pump?

This is the tire air compressor that Porsche used for that vehicle.

Default Air pump

Thanks, that’s generally what I see. That’s not what I have. Any part number?

YW

The parts manual lists six part numbers. None have images. Most cross reference to the PAD-012-615 air compressor, still available w/ a different appearance.

are you sure about that ???? i had an 87 944 and i imagine they were the same and that was NOT the pump in my car.

I thought the original pump in an 87 was the Canadian made pump.

i wonder if mine was particular to 944 or my original one was swapped out ?

The air compressor that was in my new 1987 924S when I collected it at the dealership was the large black hinged case pump.

There are six part numbers showing up in the parts manual, so it may be that Porsche used multiple suppliers for this device.

... knocking on wood, my clips are still intact. I slightly modified the enclosure to decrease the stress on the clips using a file to remove material in the latch area, making it easier to latch and unlatch.
