now im disappointed after seeing all your work that you didn't remove and repaint the transmission mount bracket.
hahahaha you read my mind! I was in instant regret mode the day after. For some reason when i was thinking through the install, my mind kept telling me to do one side at a time….so at no point did i think the bracket was gonna come out. In hindsight i could’ve just left the tranny sitting on my jack and take it out completely. I’ll probably remove and repaint it when it gets warmer lol. It was easy to get to anyway.

Since the door window switches were on/off so many times when i was fixing the door locks, handles, door cards etc. i used my wife’s nail polish to make my life (and any future owner after me) that much easier.

Not sure what the prior owners did to this rear glass, but there were deep gouges (still somewhat present) all over the back windshield. It looked like a bear clawed all over it. Painstakingly spent 6-7 hours using Ceriglass which is essentially cerium oxide, and a glass polishing pad. Had to do it in 15minute intervals as the glass was getting too hot. Looks about 60-70% better but will do for now. I ceramic coated all the glass afterwards

This Kroon o2 sensor plug replacement/fix was a lifesaver too. Car was running rich bc the o2 wire/plug disintegrated in my hands. Come to find out this is a very common issue. Swapped this in and all was good!

Been so frustrated every time i take off the wheels, the lugs would constantly get stuck in my socket. So i replaced them with new black aluminum ones. Cleans up everything so much better!

All the dent marks from me having to use a screwdriver to punch them out of my socket

Forgot to mention these shark fins were the 1st mod i did when i got this car. I always thought it was so iconic to the 80s gen 911s

I knew i needed a tool kit but was not willing to pay the money for a genuine Porsche kit. So i made my own using leftover essential tools, tape, zip ties, jack pad etc etc

just out of curiosity you mentioned the front blower isn’t fused. So can i assume that the ac fan blower (the one that started smoking from my vents) is the rectangle shaped blower by the front battery? For some reason i assumed the blower that went bad was the one in the smugglers box next to the steering column

i guess blowers may change as cars configuration change ... the one not fused I believe is the one behind the cardboard divider in the " firewall" not down in the smugglers box. the complaint is often smoke/fire coming out of the fresh air vents.

awesome thank you so much for that pic! I’ll def look into replacing that as well as inspecting the other blowers.

i think many guys have just fused it to be safe. I think Pelican guys would know this off the top of their head.
