Default 1989 Targa value

I have a 89 targa 82k miles receipts back to 1997. I’m getting it ready to sell I want to know a fair price to list it for. I’m thinking $75-80k or am I crazy.

Two different questions...

Gorgeous vehicle.

Check out the Bring a Trailer and PCARmarket web auction sites.

That price range looks appropriate. LOTS depends upon condition, maintenance history and defects / blemishes.

THE BEST way to sell stuff online is to show any / all defects in photographs and to also call out everything in text. Then everyone is on the same page.

Good luck!

There has a been a noticeable reset in market pricing, but I think that car could bring a sale price in the low $70's with a really great BaT presentation, excellent pics, and big stack of service records. Be prepared to have a recent condition report ready, paint meter readings, and compression/leakdown figures for potential buyers. I'm seeing a fair number of recent auctions not hitting reserve, though they've been bid to what was a reasonable fair-market price today. Lots of sellers who still think it's early 2022, but the game has changed. Even with a reset, the car is worth a lot more than it was in 2019, so just be smart about it if you want to sell the car. It's much more likely to drop $20k in the next 12-24 months than gain $10k, IMO.

The car was accepted yesterday by BAT. It will be sold with no reserve.

Thanks for the link. I still think it’s a $70k plus car but tomorrow I will know. It’s a very nice car someone going to get.

Rest assured, it will move up in the last 30 min and then again in the last 2 min; it’s often entertaining to watch when a battle unfolds 🍻

When I purchase a BAT vehicle I wait until the very end, just before resetting the 2 minute until end clock.
