Post PPI on Long Island/mechanic recommendation?

Friends, I have found an '87 I am interested in buying. Might I ask for a recommendation for a mechanic/shop to do a PPI on the car on Long Island-and how much should this cost. Additionally, might I ask when does Porsche call for valve adjustments and what is done at the 60k mile service. Thank you so much for your time.

Regards,
Jordan

I just purchased a car on LI (I don't live there), Here is list of shops I gathered

German Auto Repair Tech in Amityville 516-789-2426 , described by members of Metro PCA as very good and through. Small shop H/W team. I did have several discussion w and seem very nice as well.

Lynmor Motors, inc. Huntington 631-421-1133 talk with Chris. Actaully performed a PPI on the car a purchased a few months prior. He was very helpful and has an excellent reputation, esp among racer types.

GTR Motorsports , Huntington Station, sorry I don't have phone number. He serviced the car I purchased. has good rep, I never had the opportunity to talk with. Does alot of racing work as well.

Silver Starr Motors Sports, roslyn heights 516-625-5544. This is Dealer. Wheb I caold and discussed PPI, they recommend a one hour review, what I describe as a gloss over. FYI

Hope this helps. Good Luck

Jordan,

Same answer as erlier this week: Formula in Long Island City (Queens); Rudtner's in Freeport (Long Island); DeMan in Nyack (not Long Island ... Rockland County). There are several more great places, but I figure after a while it can get confusing.

Autoport Designs, Mineola
German Auto repair, Amityville
GTR Motorsports, Huntington Station
Lynmor, Huntington
P.S.H., West Babylon
Rennwerke, Elmsford (not Long Island, Westchester)
S.M., New Hyde Park
Tyrolean, Northport

Good Luck!
