Howdy! I have a few questions, maybe one of you great people can help me.

When I am at highway speeds the car wants to snake a little bit, by this I mean: Go right.. go left... and I feel it in the front right of the car.

The Cars tires are older and I am replacing soon, this could be an issue?

I truly have to slow down and am worried the car is just going to 'Snake' out of control.

Any opinions?

Take a look at your tie rods.- sounds like they need replacing and then a proper wheel alignment

SCs are very sensitive to tires and alignment-replace the old ones and check things out for tightness and has already been said get a decent alignment.
Not just a "within spec" one.

Alright. Will do. I let go of the steering wheel it goes straight.

Precious owner has weights all over the rim. Could be a balance issue too!

have the same issue. I even have new turbo tie rods and new steering rack. still wanders a bit. I'll try to find a better alignment place.

Have you got a modern unsuitable tyre carcass? or have you fitted wider tyres?

https://www.longstonetyres.co.uk/cla...che/911sc.html

wider section tyres or more modern tyre carcasses put a wider foot print in contact with the road, meaning the car suffers from what is called tracking, where because the outer extremities of your tyres are further away from your steering components it increase their leaverage on your steering, so as you drive on rutted motorways the uneven surfaces pull at your steering.

It is misguided to simply think bigger tyres are better.

It is also misguided to think that modern tyres design is just better. Modern tyre design offers advantages that modern cars do take advantage of that have derogatory effects of the handling of the chassis set up of an earlier car.
