Actually, the OP was not in the wrong here. A new member, asking a simple question, deserves better from experienced and educated people.

Some may disagree with you Robb M. Myself included.

I realize that this post is unnecessary. Perhaps it will be deleted.

You're way out of line on this Robb. Way out of line.

Sharing opinions is what this forum is all about. If one disagrees with what someone posts - that is part of the information sharing process.

the vehemence with which one protests often suggests the level of emotion present, clearly this is an emotional subject for some. Referring to the founder as if things should never change is absolutely ridiculous. Electric is the future, deal with it.

Many will think that electric is the future.

It is a chapter that will be a very short one.

The reality of that will certainly reveal itself the further we get into its implementation.

@Robb M. you have always done a good job keeping things down the middle. Thank you for doing that. You can have the first 993TT going electric!

That wasn't my point. I'm sure most people didn't remember that John had that happen, and that was seven years ago. Electric makes even more sense now. It won't be long before new 911s are all electric.

Yes, the OP wasn't exactly welcomed with open arms, but most of the responses tried to be helpful. OK, not everyone agreed with what he wanted to do, but he went off the deep end pretty early, and then things went downhill from there. Kind of his own fault.

Mark

No disrespect to the OP but this is a forum of vehemently dedicated internal combustion freaks who absorb everything 911 Porsche the mere suggestion of going another direction be it electric, coal, or laser crystal is in itself an insult an obviously will be dealt with in that way , sorry just my opinion..
If a recommendation where to get something bastardized is needed go to electric bastardization weekly thats just how it is around here … Bert

It is really pretty easy to get a point across or express a different opinion without demeaning a person, especially a new guy that is just looking for help from knowledgeable members.
