Magnecor Ignition wires
I've installed a MSD 6AL ignition system and they recommend 8.5 mm spiral wound wires. From reading other posts, Magnecor seems to be the ignition wire of choice. Where can I purchase these sets ready to install (along with proper connectors, BERU?) for my 2.7 liter rebuild?

Magnecores are available from some of the usual aftermarkert Pcar parts houses with the right connectors. Although some people report the length is a bit tight on some cylinders. And they are spendy.
Another option for you - if you have old style Berus and they are good go buy some bulk wire or a universal wire "kit" and simply attach your Berus. The early Berus simply screw into the wire end. I am not sure how the new style Berus connect.
A good Beru should measure 3k-4k ohms.

I bought my wires direct from Magnecor.

I have a 2.4L MFI motor and I used part #6594. The KV85 8.5mm set. Cost $151.36
Best damn wires I ever installed. They did, how ever, send me a too short ignition coil wire. I called them and they overnighted me the correct wire. Excellent customer service.
