Default Flickering Signal Lights

Hi
I was wondering if anyone could tell me why the (Signal Lights) blinkers on my 79 911 flicker instead of act like normal blinkers. the blinkers and emergency flashers work, all of the bulbs are good. The blinker relay works but is loud. I was going to replace the blinker relay to see if it helps. The blinkers have always worked like this since I've owned the car (6 years). The bulbs are not LED. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks

im not sure what you mean by flicker. can you link to a vid or something ?

you say they flicker, then the next sentence you say they work . its kind of confusing what you are saying.

oh okay no i understand, when you go to indicate , on the gauge do the left and right flash individually ? or do they both come on ? this is a sign of the wrong relay if they both come on . I would verify the correct wattage bulb in each location as this affects the rate at which the flashers will flash. Make sure they are the right bulb. My previous 944 did this and i found out the previous owner had the wrong wattage bulbs in all locations.

Okay I will check the bulbs to make sure they are correct - Do you know what the correct bulbs should be?
Thanks

fast blinking usually means a bulb is bad or of the incorrect resistance. 4 prong flasher relays are cheap so buy one and try it, and if it is the same, then start on each corner with a light bulb check

Classic 911 requires a very specific flasher , not expensive but still very specific,

has to be a wehrle flasher if i remember correctly.
