Iceman please don't yell at me . Idk if I have the proper amount of hair in right spots of my body I'm not boasting of CGT ownership; I'm reinforcing Antomero's POV with how good I think the early 911s are.

oh sit down butt hurt child.
It takes courage to speak what you feel and not just look over your shoulder and make sure your response aligns with others. You are obviously from the newer softer gentler don't hurt my feelings generation. You come on a public forum you want opinions you are going to get them. Ypu might like some you might not like some, but do you come on forums to hear the truth or have your *** kissed ? . when you grow hair on your ***** come back.

OP, unless there are physical limitations requiring you to own a Tiptronic, or you are commuting in a congested area, any manual transmission 911 would be preferable. A 1-owner '89 Targa sounds like a winner to me.
I would get rid of the 993/Tip since in my opinion that is a dog of a combination with an automatic and low power. The 997TT at least has some power and can be easily tuned UP.

I would def get rid of one of the 997s. If it were one of the unicorn 2009 997.1/2 turbo manuals (manual plus 997.2 interior) I would keep that one. But both of the 997s are pretty easily replaceable. So whichever one you like less, sell that one.
993 tip can be a fun car if driven in manual mode. And even though they are both air-cooled, a 993 is going to feel light years different than a G body. I would test drive a good example of a G body and see if that's a good thing or a bad thing. It's likely if you buy one you love, you'll drive the 993 a lot less.
So I guess what I'm saying is - get a great G, sell the 993 and one of the 997s. Then you can buy another car too! One that is more different than the existing set, maybe a SWB 912 (can you tell that's the next car on my list lol)?

Iceman tells it like it is ... no BS
Everybody is allowed to their opinions , that's what makes these forums interesting !
I have an 89 911 which i purchased some 12 years ago and a tiptronic car wouldn't cut it for me, two even less but i would
get rid of the 95 tip as it is pretty much the next version of the 911/964 model.
Cheers

I just decided to sell my 89. To OP, if you haven’t made a decision, check out the link to me RL ad in the signature. It’s not priced cheap, but you’ll search long and hard to find a nicer one.
