Default Oil issues

Hi guys/gals, I had the '91 911/964 3.8 turbo out for about 45 minutes. It is driven infrequently, 82,000miles. Engine was converted to a TT about 12,000 MILES ago. I let it warm up for 30 minutes, checked oil and it was barely on the stick. I added nearly two quarts while running. Smoke was coming out of the dip stick opening and the oil fill opening WAS FULL to the brim. I tried to change the oil after the last drive and the port in front of the passenger rear was mostly impacted, probably got only a pint. The block drain was clear and drained as it should. In 97* weather, the engine temp was NORMAL while driving. The oil temp Guage was normal, oil pressure Guage was 1/2 way. Any thoughts? Many thanks, Spend911$

sounds like you turned the engine off while checking the oil instead of having the car idling.

Regardless this is the wrong forum for that car, that car is a 964, this forum is for 911s ( built up until 89)
