Default Carrera 3.0, traffic guide for gertmany option?

Does anybody know what was this option? It is included in my 1977 carrera 3.0 with equipment for germany. Is it just a map?
Thanks for any info

Just a guess but in Germany they leave the turn signal on, on the street side, at night when parking. So oncoming traffic sees a steady light( not blinking as would be the norm). On US cars the lights are off unless the key is in the run or Aux position.

I have a 77 3.0 and am not aware of a map. The car did come with a traffic alert system that came from the radio via the interconnected box that was in the passenger footwell.

my car leaves the the light on even with no key if the idicator is set...

At first Blush i would think it is a map of some kind provided if the car is part of the European delivery option. you would pick it up in europe, drive it around, drop it back off then they ship it to your dealer of choice.

So in Porsche world such an " option" would be a map.

I think you might be right. My car came with a Blaupunkt bamberg that probably has such an option, I'll take a look under the passenger footwell to see if there is such a box. Did your car also left the factory with the same radio option?
Thanks,
ignacio

Carrera 3.0 were ROW cars, they were not available for european delivery as they couldn't be imported into the US, at least through the dealers.....
