Does anyone work at Porsche or can look up the original dealer for a 1987 911 Coupe with vin WP0AB0918HS121028? CarFax doesnt go back that far, the records are not complete, and as per usual the warranty/maintenance book with the dealer stamp has been lost or misplaced. I tried the My Porsche but it didnt bear fruit and largely depends on who answers the phone. I know it was sold in St. Louis on 3/31/87 but that does not necessarily mean it was sold at Plaza Motor Company in Creve Coeur, or Parktown Porsche in Kirkwood which were the St Louis area dealers.

I think your local dealer can get that for you through their computer system. Same with the engine and transmission serial numbers, the kind of information that used to be on the COA but now costs $500.

They don't have to do it, but it's easy if they are willing.
