Default 1974 Carrera 2.7 MFI (ROW) Wheels and Tires

Hello all:

Recently I bought a (one owner car) 1974 Porsche 911 Carrera 2.7 MFI in very good shape with 47780kms (30000 miles) and I am not sure that the Fuchs wheels and the tires it has fitting are the right ones, I would like to install the stock tire sizes on it to keep him as when was new.

Any one here could help me with the OEM wheels and tires specifications that it must has? Thank you in advance!

Regards

from the factory
6ET36 & 7ET23.3 x15 185/70 & 215/60, current Pirelli classic CN 36 would be the closest match

The car looks to have 7 ET23.3 & 8ET10.6, but it's hard to tell from the picture

gold colored wheel center w/ white paint was correct

I did a little more digging on this, I had always thought that '76 was the first year where 7ET23.3 & 8ET10.6 were options, that was what came on my '76 Carrera, but I came across a magazine article form circa 1974 that stated that the 7 & 8 x 15 was also an option on '74 Carreras

Additionally PET lists 7 & 8x 15 for '74-75 2.7 Carrera

so I need to amend my answer above and say 7ET23.3 & 8ET10. x15 was oe, tires were still the same as for sure '76 was the first year 205/50 & 225/50 x15 were options on those wheels

That’s a beautiful car and your a lucky man to find it. Those wheels are definitely the wheels the car came with but those mirrors definitely are not. Especially the one on the passenger side.
I have an original 74 Carrera that I have known since 1975 that owned by a friend and actually was lucky enough to have owned it twice now and I had thought to install a mirror on that door back in 1985 when he sold it to me and before I sold it back to him but he told me that if I did that he wouldn’t be interested in buying the car back if and when I decided it was time so I didn’t do it and now that I own the car again for the past 4 years I am glad I didn’t.

Beautiful car, so it did come w/ 7 & 8 x15? I assume the tires were 185/70 & 215/60?

EVERYTHING you would EVER want to know about the ROW 2.7 Carrera can be found in the book authored by Ryan Snodgrass. Buy one: https://parabolicapress.com/products...rrera-2-7-book

You sure?
There are no Fuchs in 8 x15 or 9 x15 w/ Carrera appropriate ET's Fuchs 8x15 are all ET10.6 and 9x15 are all ET3

front would need to be 8 x15 ET25-31 and 9 rear would need to be ET12-16,
