Default Parts 911 Targa

Every once in a while them deals do pop up. Long story short This is what $300 can buy you nowadays.

Plus a lot of body metal, rear glass, and parts on the back of the pickup truck. I had to act fast so I just tied it up to the bumper of my truck and drove it through the back roads:

I know; it looks irresponsible but there are four separate straps with a tow strap wrapped around several times in the middle. It wasn't letting go and the sub 20 minutes going down took an hour at a top speed of 20mph.

Anyways... Could somebody help me decode the vin? According to this site https://www.stuttcars.com/technical/vin-decoder/ 10-digit is a 1970~1979, and the fourth digit is the year (0 = 1970, 1 = 1971, etc) so it should be a 1973.

Except that the tag says it is a 911SC, and those were not introduced until 1978. So what year is it?

Thanks --- your pics helped me identify the orientation of a part I had just bought: Fuel Tank Sending Unit Protection Bracket.

911441= 1974 first 4, second 4 is carrera, the 1 indicating a targa.
