I'm looking at at car near Charlottesvile, VA. Anybody got a suggestion for a good mechanic in the area to do a PPI? Many thanks!

There is a Porsche dealership in Charlottesville called Pegasus motorcar co., phone number is (434) 977-6060. I've never dealt with them, I just know of them.

Depending on how close the car is to Richmond, I can recommend another shop that I deal with if you're interested.

The Porsche dealership was sold by Pegasus, is now owned by Crown motorcars. It is on the 250 bypass on Pantops. There is also a Porsche mechanic at Blueridge Motor Works, 1127 River Road, Charlottesville, VA 22901. I recently had a friend get a PPI at Blueridge and he was happy with their work. If you can get the seller to take the car there (a black '87 Carrera by any chance?), G&W Motorwerks in Wellsboro, VA is the place to go.

Correction, G&W MotorWerks (http://www.gandw.com/) is in Waynesboro, VA, about 1/2 hour drive from Charlottesville on Interstate 64.
