Episode 8 is live!

We talk with a couple people involved in the build – including Perry, the owner of Perry’s Custom Metal, who built the custom duckbill decklid.

Less than a week until the cars debut at the SEMA Show.

Wanted to share some updates to the wheels. The car is on the ground now – but you’ll have to tune in Friday to see.

Rotiform CMP 3-Piece Wheels will DEBUT AT THE SEMA SHOW!

We anodized the barrels, and the faces are cerakoted to match the rest of the car.

For the Falken Azenis tires, we first got 235/40/17 Fronts and 275/40/17 Rears. We wanted perfect fitment, so we spent two days working on the alignment and corner balancing. We ended up sizing down the front tires to 225/45 – this helped fix the rake and matched the stretch of the rears better. We shaved 4mm off the rear wheels to be able to achieve 1.3-degrees of camber.

We got the centerlocks from Stanceworks Garage on the wheels. We ended up anodizing them to match the wheel faces.

Carbone LED Headlights installed. Once we got them, we took them apart and painted the inside to match the body.

Bunch of titanium hardware we’re using from Chasing Js – all finished in a custom raw + gold brushed color.

Custom titanium badges from Chasing Js.

Tune in to the last episode of our docuseries before the reveal at the SEMA Show

We’re just waiting for the few final pieces – carbon fiber pieces for the diffuser, front lip, and decklid.

For those interested, here is a look at the builds they're up against!
IMO they've got this in the bag

Thanks for the support!

Here are a few photos of the last details that came together before the SEMA debut. We'll be sharing debut photos ASAP.

The carbon fiber bits on the exterior – finished in a Satin clear coat to complement the metallic paint.

We added OEM style hexagon mesh to the decklid

OEM style turn signals and tail lights with LED bulbs. We smoked these with a light tint.

Complete interior! The Achtungkraft pieces worked out well and we got the steering wheel back from Carbone. We added a hub ring onto the wheel to give more of a GT look versus racecar look, to match the elegance of the rest of the interior – finished off with Chasing Js bolts. This also helped to balance out the size of the steering wheel hub because we used a Momo cover on top to disguise the accordion style rubber cover. It all ended up looking great with the North Hollywood restored LED gauges.

Pedals and floor boards from Chasing Js in place

CAE Racing Shifter with custom anodized **** and custom boot

That is a fantastic build and the quality is unsurpassed...the metal work is just right. I have to say it tho.... that interior, for me, is really not representative of the build. It is in quality but that fabric design put here and there makes me think of Maude on the 'Golden Girls'. It looks...oh hell...'girlie'

Yesterday we were at World Motorsports using their Windtunnel Mustang Dyno – the car officially made 387.6 WHP & 310.5 WTQ.

The test stopped slightly before, so the graphs below will be slightly off.

We also measured brake horsepower at a conservative 17% loss: 466 BHP. For reference, this is 36 HP more than Guntherwerks’ 4.0L engine.
