Default Adjust window trim?

I have an 1984 that recently got new f/r windows, and there are a couple of places where the rubber isn’t lining up all the way with the body. There are also a couple of places where the trim isn’t in all the way... I was thinking that maybe I should squeeze some urethane into the void to push the gasket out, but are there any other (better) tricks?

use a jigsaw to cut a block of wood to that shape

get some plastic interior trim tools

use soapy water, and the above to manipulate the trim to fit better

put cardboard or hardboard on the glass to guard against errant hammer blows to the wood block

Having just gone through this recently, I will share my thoughts/experiences - but be curious to see what others say.

- The trim has to be seated in the rubber seal channel during the install - if it pops out, you must remove the window and start over. This is a huge PITA.
- The front/rear window seals are known to have poor fitment unless they are OE Porsche. I had this issue - removed windows and reinstalled with Porsche seals and it solved the fitment.

I replaced all my glass, seals and trim myself as a first timer. I have a couple small areas like the original poster shows that I figured my options were to just live with or take the glass back out and start over. Up until now I have just been living with it.
Your method intrigues me. Have you done this with good results?
