Go to www.p1designs.com and check out some of their fabrics. They make seat inserts for Porsche LWB seats for the GT cars, and I'm thinking about ordering some for my car. They might be willing to source the fabric for you, or possibly even do the recovering work you're planning. Lots of pics of tartan fabrics on their website. I've spoken to them on the phone and they're great to deal with and have a stellar reputation in the GT3/RS forum here.
