Default '86 Carrera driver door hard to close

I have to slam my door pretty hard to get it to latch completely. When I open the door and lift it up there is a little bit of play which I am suspecting is the problem. Any way to tighten the door so it doesn't sag?

The striker plate is adjustable, you loosen the two bolts and it will wiggle around a fair bit to give you proper adjustment.

Question is, why is it changing? Usual suspect are the hinge bushings which are replaceable but are a PITA to do. The old ones need to be pressed out (light press fit) and the new ones pressed in and then reamed out to final size with an 8mm ream (IIRC).

Check the striker first and go from there.....
