Default 3.2 suspension upgrades

My recent check over advised me to upgrade some suspension items on my 88. What are your thoughts on this set up for street driving?
Are the bilstein B6 struts another name for HD? Are these the correct bilstein sports for the rear? I’m also getting new sway bar links and upgrading to turbo tie rods. Wheel bearings will also be checked .The car has been lowered already .

take a look at Elephant Racing web page

you will want digressively valved shocks, which Bilstein will do to your old ones

I don't see torsion bars or rubber bushings on there

Yes, yes

As mentioned I'd go for a digressive re-valve and a little bit larger torsion bars, 20/26 is a nice up grade w/o going overboard on stiffness and making it to racy

you do not need to buy the entire front strut assembly just the inserts

That may or may not be true

not true if the OP has other than oe Bilstein fronts

not true if the sliding bearing which is a wear part in Bilstein struts is shot

I wanted to share my recent car check report (see attachment file). I’ll be looking to care of the issues listed while also upgrading my suspension. I’m gonna opt for new 21/26 mm torsion bars and (I think) the sport performance 1 suspension package from elephant racing. I’m just not sure
if I want the polybronze bearings or the rubber bearings kit.

If this is a mostly street setup you may want to rethink the monoballs (f/r) and look at a sport hardness rubber bushing instead. Monoballs are appropriate for a track setup. My $0.02

Thanks Helix, would something like this be more appropriate?

Yes, for a street setup much better than monoballs. Also, you may consider solid torsion bars if budget is a factor. The strut brace for a street car is also mostly "bling" and more appropriate for track applications. All depends on your budget and esthetic you are shooting for. Have fun!

but if you get an add on strut brace, the Eph. one seems to be the best

My '84 Carrera has the optional "factory sport" suspension which are the green Bilsteins, at least in the rear. When I'm ready to replace the shocks, can I send to Bilstein to re-valve or do I need to replace with new shocks?

You used to be able to do that but the last I heard the guy responsible retired, now if you can specify the exact valve stack that you want Bilstein San Diego can still do the work. I always have gone w/ a shop that knows what is needed, if nothing is local elephant racing can help
