Any tips on getting this radio out? I'm sure it's one of those things that takes 30 seconds once I know what I'm looking for. It doesn't appear to have the 4 holes for the U-shaped clips. On the backside I can see the two side tabs but the basketweave in the front appears to have the original layout with the center rectangle and the two holes for the control *****. Not sure how to get to the side clips other than maybe removing them with a long screwdriver from the back.
If you have suggestions for replacements they are welcome. I'm thinking either one of the more period correct radios with aux input or just use a Bremen. Car has rear speaker aftermarket cabinet above the rear seats.
My guess would be pulling both *****, then under you should have hexagonal bolts that you need to remove in order to unlock the head unit from the car dash.
