Hi:

What year car?

Are you speaking of the oil lines that run under the right side sills?

You can use Earl's or Aeroquip stainless mesh covered hoses. I recommend -16an sized hose, although some use -12an. The metric fittings needed can be sourced from Pegasus Racing (www.pegasusautoracing.com). The other fittings are standard -an fittings.

I have read several times over the past few years that you need to keep the metal lines to ensure heat is dissipated. The info wnt furhter stating that rubber or insulated hoses keep the temperature higher by 10-30 degrees. I don't know the true story, but tend to go with the metal lines like factory or elephant Racing fiined ones to keep the heat down.

I would urge you to check the oil lines that are sold by Elephant Racing.

http://www.elephantracing.com/oilhan...oolingkits.htm

They sell finned oil lines that you may find are superior in terms of heat radiation...

here is what they claim you can achieve:

Substantial temperature reduction

Purge valve clears dirty oil from system

Easy bolt-on installation

No duct work, sits in air stream under car

Stock appearance

It would seem that you can buy both of them replaced ~US$ 650 (!)
