Default Help identifying engine components

Hi all

Am trying to work out part of the engine wiring harness. It is the part of the harness that connects to the starter (red + yellow), disappears off to the alternator and also connects to a couple of sensors.

One end has this plug:


It splits off, with one cable going to the alternator, one to the starter and then two to these two sensors, but I am not sure what they are?

no idea what car you are working on ... but the top sensor is the oil pressure light...

that connector does not look original ( the white one )

on the older cars yellow in the engine harness is the trigger for the starter solenoid. what year is the car? That plug does not look original as stated above.
