Post help with low oil pressure

Have a friend who when turning hard left (either on street or at AutoX) and or braking hard to the left, the oil pressure light comes on and there is a drop in oil pressure.

I thought the oil pickup was on the front right side of the engine, so i don't know why it would not be picking up.

is there another problem?

where should we look

thanks

car is a 69 911 with a 2.0

Hi Andy:

As the oil pickup is under that steel sump plate at the very bottom center of the case, that car should not be having this problem unless the oil level is too low.

I would remove the plate and inspect the screen to make sure that its installed correctly and its not partially blocked.

Hello

You have a drysump system and as long your oil level isn´t far under minimum or you use slicks your engine can not run out of oil.

Also your 69 doesn´t have any oilpressure idiot light.

What you might see is the controllight for the emergency brake lever.
