There are addicting indeed. I own 3. I must comment the 85.5 944 and my 78 911SC coupe are so very different each with it's own beauty. The 944 is a modern car compared to the 911. A very easy car to drive and love. The 911 must be driven with focus and conviction. It feels like a tank compared to the 944 but at the track an absolute blast. If you have never driven one before it may appear as an acquired taste, one that just grows on you. By the way so far the 911SC has been significantly less to maintain as well, given the same amount of usuage. But that could be the luck of the draw. Good luck.

I would do it. I sold my 67 Vette for my 82SC. Never looked back. I'm learning as I go......

I own an 86 Cab and am considering buying 2 more: a 996 Cab as a second daily driver and an early car as a track mobile.

911s are wonderful cars. The best ever. I disagree with the person earlier who said that most people hate the way they drive.... ? When properly set up, the 911s handle tremendously. Just an awesome car...dont limit yourself to 87-89. The 86s with the 915 may have been the best year ever for 911s, for many reasons.

cheers.
