Default Wheels

Ive been looking into getting BBS E87 wheels for my new to me 87 911. I called BBS motorsport directly and using the measurements of the 17in BBS LM wheel that many people use on their G Body 911s they came up with these offsets for a 16in BBS E87. Can anyone comment if this wheel will fit? Clearly it can be made to work with this car its just a matter of using the correct inner, center, and outer pieces.

16x9
+17mm Offset
142mm backspace

16x7.5
+25mm Offset
129mm backspace

My fronts are custom but are 7's et 23 mm so 25mm sounds about right for a 7.5" wheel.
My rear's are 8's and have an et 10 mm.. (1/2" = 12.7 mm) so I would think your rears might need to be looked at more closely.

You don't want them rubbing or you having to roll the fender. Also you will have more room on the driver side then you will on the passenger side. This is due to the oil lines in the fender well of the passenger side rear tire.

those numbers are very close to factory Fuchs in 16.

Those will fit fine w/ 205/55 & 245/45 x16 tires
issue is 245/45x16 is only available in a few street lines, BS RE11 was a popular choice but I believe it has been discontinued. PZero Roso seems to be still available as does P7, Tpoy RR & T1R and Yoko A052

You'd be much better off buying 17 w/ the same o/s as above and use 215/45 & 245/40 x17 tires

OU,

I also struggled with the same issue...... I wanted 16" but the availability of tires was mostly non existent. 17's do open things up. Good Luck.

I'm being convinced of the 17s more and more. Found someone with 17s on their G Body who was very kind and gave me their specs

17x8 +32mm
17x9 +19mm

The stance is very nice and the tire and brake options are wide open then.

8ET32 sits inboard a tad more than i'm comfortable w/, the usual 8 fitment for the front of a 911 is ET25-30, the lower the ET the closer to the lip and vice versa

I still say the BBS ones are more appropriate for a dentist.
