Thumbs up

Try Vinylex from Lexol. It restores the black to the rubber, and if it hasn't been treated in a while, the rubber will drink it up. Also keeps wax from making fade marks on the rubber.

Kyle:

I have a 91 C2 Cabriolet, and I found that the retractable tail, as well as the heaadlight rings were prone to white spots.

So this spring I decided to go the whole nine yards, strip all the old wax from the car that I could and start from scratch.

I went with line of products that Prestige Car Care products sells, but I have no expereince with anyone else, so I cannot give you a comparison to anything.

First, I washed the car using Dawn dishwashing liquid. This was done to strip as much of the old wax as possible. I then went over the car with the Victoria Wax Lite Cleanse. What I noticed, when I worked on the headlight rings and retractable spoiler (tail), that this effectively removed the nasty white spots that I had seen. After cleaning the whole car, I applied a nice coat of the Victoria Wax (Red). The was claims to have a 46% carnuba was content. After all of this, the nasty spots were gone. What I did find, though, was that if I let water sit on the spoiler, like during the rain that occurred at a couple of autocrosses, the spots returned. And I had to repeat the process on the problem areas.

I don't know if anything works better, but I have been happy with the Victoria Wax products, and happy with the Lite Cleanse.

Their URL is http://www.prestigecarcareproducts.com if you are interested in looking at this stuff. Feel free to contact the guy too, as he was very helpful to me.

Good Luck,

Ron
