Oil cooler fan relay
It seems that somewhere back of the fusebox from fuse 2 to pin 30 there's a problem. I've tried pullling the fuseboard away from the wing as far as it will go but it's pretty tight back there and all the cables to the relay are wrapped anyway.
Has anyone any ideas? I don't want to fiddle too much and find I've knackered something else. Thanks in anticipation. Gray.
I don't know how different the oil system is in the slopenose turbo but, in my 88 cab I believe there is a temperature activated switch in the oil line to the front oil cooler that operates the fan relay when the oil gets hot enough. I don't remember if it is located up front by the oil cooler or at the rear in the valve that diverts the oil to the front cooler when needed. I'm at the office right now, otherwise I'd check my Bentley manual. (And as you can see I'm getting alot of work done being here!). If you have a Bentley manual it has pictures and diagrams of the oil system that will help you troubleshoot. If not I'll check and follow-up when I get home.
There might be a problem with that temp switch or the switch and relay are fine and your oil just might not be getting hot enough in the winter to need the fan.

Update- The temp switch is in the front oil cooler. But, this might be completely useless info for a turbo/slopenose.
