Default GT4 vs. 911 GTS

I am in the process of trading in my Panamera 4S. I’m considering a GT4 or a 911 GTS either 2017 or 2018. I am curious as to what things I should consider when making the decision I have test driven both cars love them both but for different reasons neither will be a daily driver for me and I’m not a guy who takes my car to the track Things such as should I go with the PDK or manual shift ? From what I read it looks like both will hold their value equally overtime Any advice or input would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to the forum homie......you already know where I stand. Remember what I told you about the seats if you decide on the GT4. Knowing you and what I know about the cars you won't be disappointed either way. I'll have someone I know that owned both to chime in for you.......Phil

GTS ainec. And if it were me I'd go with PDK. The 7 Speed isn't really even a manual, it's essentially a stick-activated pdk so might as well go with the real deal.

A stick activated pdk? Now that’s funny! The d stands for double or (doppel), and there is only one clutch in the manual. The manual is a true manual in every sense of the word, but I assume you were being sarcastic. If I write a letter on a manual typewriter I guess I’d be using a manually operated word processor??

Not being sarcastic. I didn't know, either.

Not sure if they allow linking to pelican, but here's the explanation:

This is not the correct forum to rehash this, but the mechanism is still mechanical. There is no HAL selecting the gears as there is with the PDK system. As in all the rear transaxle cars (924, 944, 928, Corvette, Alfa GTV6, etc), since they have front-mounted engines and rear mounted transmissions, there has to be linkage and or cables connecting the gear lever to the transmission. Heck, even the Boxsters and Caymans don't have gear levers that go directly into their gearboxs. Only front engine cars with directly connected gear boxes have that. Whether the gear shift lever goes directly into the box or is separated by cables, rods, or other mechanical devices, is irrelevant as long as it's mechanical. It's irrelevant in terms of it being manual, but it certainly can adversely affect feel or function. Fortunately, the 7-speed manual operates very well. I certainly prefer a 6-speed, but the 7-speed is still 100% manual.
