Carpet question / 911SC
Hi Guys ,
I recently purchased a euro 911SC that strangely didn't come with any of the 4 factory carpets ( in black ) that go under your feet . I'm talking about the pieces that come from the factory - not floor mats . My question is : is there a source to buy these without buying a complete carpet kit for the whole car ? Even Porsche Classic lists them as NLA . Any help appreciated .
Thanks,
Bryan

Thanks guys - unlike the rest of the carpeting in the car which is glued to the floor pan these for 4 pieces are laid in like your floor mats would be . Not sure if it's the same on all year cars , but all the SC's I've seen are this way as way as well as my '88 Clubsport . The only difference between the SC's and the later 3.2's might be a plastic stiffener bonded to the under side of the driver's piece near the gas pedal . I contacted one of the places that is big in making the complete carpet replacement kits to see if they'd sell me just those 4 pieces and got no response . All of the glued down pieces are in near perfect condition so it seems like a waste to buy the whole kit if I don't have to .

okay to be clear ... what you think is floor mat IS the carpet...
if it lies in the front and has little leather strap that hooks through a loop in the metal works then fastens ... is in fact the carpet.. there is nothing that glues down to the floor of the car .. if you lift the carpet all you should see is the floor of the car.

thats why i wanted to be clear.with pictures. . many think the carpets ARE floor mats. i wasnt sure if you were one of them . your best bey for finding these would be Hershey or some other swap meet or at a dismantler. like DC automotive or if you have any one closer.
