1967 911S value? (rush)
I have a deal on a 67 911S
How much can be the car worth?
Mileage is low, color is black, it is in perfect condition.
Also, what kind of wheels will fit on it? I want to make it look outstanding
Please let me know your opinions, i have to call the seller by this afternoon...
Thanks!

With all do respect, no 67S is in PERFECT condition (unless it's been sealed in a vacuum). Make sure it's checked out by a shop who knows those cars very well. Even in So. Cal. there's usually some rust somewhere. Has it been restored or is it a survivor? If it's truly in concours winning unrestored condition with extremely low miles, it could be worth over $25k. Otherwise, it may be worth $15k-$20k if it's really nice. Most very nice examples are worth less than $20k - it needs to be extra nice to bring big $.

i second what grant said! and have it checked out by a shop before you purchase, and make sure it really is a 911s, and not just an s badge on the back, or a t with an S engine.. all of that effects value.

I guess "infamous" is too strong a word. But there is a black '67 911S, priced at a premium, the seller claiming the car was once owned by Nicholas Cage. I personally don't understand the "once owned by a celebrity" psychology that a buyer is expected to pay a premium over a similar car in similar condition without the celebrity factor. But last year, Barrett-Jackson sold Don Johnson's NASH BRIDGES 'Cuda convertible in the neighborhood of $140,000! A similar car (without DJ) sold later somewhere around $70K. So obviously someone disagrees with my opinion in a big $$$ way.

I believe the car in question was owned by Francis Ford Coppola, who IIRC, is Nick Cage's uncle. Regardless, I looked at the car and thought it needed a lot of work to make it perfect. The car lacked a presence. It was just okay, IMO. Certainly not the pristine car that was described in the ad.
