Well, giving the OP a bit of a break, all his previous posts were in the water-cooled forums, so I suppose a legitimate question depending on the price and the year.
Jooniper, here in the original air cooled forum, all of our cars are at least 30 years old. Our cars regularly change hands with over 100k miles. It’s all about the maintenance.
Porsche’s are not Ferrari’s. Even the new cars are not fragile.

45, 000 is not considered high but certainly does not guarantee that it is bullet proof. A leak down and compression will show the current status of the engine. Having service records is a bonus as it tells you the care it has received. Buy the best car that your budget allows .. Most of the time that saves you headaches in the future.

At first I thought the OP was trolling, but then maybe wrong forum. lol
OP, you must not be familiar w/ the P-car world! On any P-car, across all the years and models, 40k in change on the clock is nothing.

I'm over 150,000 on my 88 and don't consider it high mileage. Runs amazingly.
